Carbon Monoxide Testers
Because carbon monoxide is odorless, it can go undetected without a proper carbon monoxide tester.
Carbon monoxide testers are another term for carbon monoxide sensors. They are simple, inexpensive devices that should be installed in the home to test air quality and notify residents if unsafe levels of carbon monoxide are present. Like smoke detectors, they emit a high-pitched warning sound or alarm when carbon monoxide is detected. Carbon monoxide is a tasteless, colorless, odorless toxic gas. Carbon monoxide poisoning is the most common form of poisoning in the United States, and is most common in the winter time when combustion fumes or leaks from furnaces are contained within a sealed house.
